The Estates Manager at Trinity School Croydon South London wanted to replace the existing tiles that had been down for years and were beyond cleaning.
The old flooring was taken up and a latex screed applied to the sub-floor of the corridor and classrooms.
The new flooring was fitted to the corridor first and every classroom was completed as we went along. We worked around the furniture to keep the disruption to a minimal. There was just over 700m2 in total and the work was completed on less than a week during a Half term to avoid any disruption to pupils.
The advantage of using these tiles is that they can be easily replaced individually if they are stained or damaged over time meaning the school doesn’t need to replace the whole lot in one go.
